EXPO Milano 2015: Paving the way towards a food secure future

Expo Milano 2015 started on May 1st and Bioversity International was there - read all about it in this blog.

200 people attended The recipe of a collaborative life, A (bio)diverse world and The post-2015 development agenda* events, which were a perfect occasion to discuss the key role that agricultural biodiversity plays in feeding the planet. Our scientist Danny Hunter and his colleague from the 'Mainstreaming Biodiversity for Food and Nutrition' initiative, Camila Oliveira, have shared their presentations online.

In particular, Bioversity International stressed the need for governments and policymakers to create an enabling environment for agricultural biodiversity stewardship, invest in research and development, and promote knowledge and use of diverse yet underutilized crops as the Brazilian government is doing.
